4/26-Our Human Rights (Solomon and Phillip)

1 HR#13 “ Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state”. Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country” http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/)
This is important because it states that people are allowed to leave their country and come back.

2 HR#17 “Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as association with others” “No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property”
This is important because this quote states that people should be able to have their own land.

3 HR#6 “Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before law”
This is important because it states that everyone should be treated equally.
http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/

4 HR#5 “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment”.
This is important because it this quote states that everyone gets equal treatment or rights.

5 HR# “everyone has the right to rest and leisure, including reasonable limitations of working hours in periodic holidays with pay”.
This is important because it states that people get decent working conditions and pay.

  1. Phillip and Sol, I agree with your first Human Right: HR#13 “ Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state”. Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country” http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/.
I think this because everyone should be able come and go from their country; however, I do agree with passports and border protection.

It is very important for people to know the difference between cruelty and punishment!

  4. I agree with what you said about everyone should be treated right no matter what. Nobody should have to get treated worse than someone else or better then someone else. Everyone is the same inside and out.

  5. Sol and Phillip, the laws that you picked are very important. My favorite law that you both picked was HR#13. I completely agree with it.
