4/26 Our Human Rights (Danielle & Miranda)

1. HR#28-“Everyone is entitled to a social and international order in which the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration can be fully realized.”

This is important because everyone needs a social life, without talking to people life would be miserable.


2. HR#1- “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”

This is important because people need to be free and think and do things their own way.


3. HR#27-“Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.”

This is important so you can have the freedom to do as you please.


4. HR#2-“Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.” “Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.”

This is important because everyone deserves equal rights no matter how they look.


5. HR#3-“Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.”

This is important because they have the freedom of speech & how they want to live their life.


6. HR#30-“Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein.”

This is important because we are able to participate in any activity we please.


7. HR#20-“Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.”

This is important because everyone needs their own freedom to be able to do what they want when they want.



8. HR#24-“Everyone has the right to rest and leisure, including reasonable limitation of working hours and periodic holidays with pay. “

This is important because everyone has the right to work with a reasonable amount of money.



9. HR#4-“No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.”

This is important because no one deserves it.


10. HR#5-“No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”

This is important because no one needs to be punished in a cruel way, because everyone makes mistakes.

  1. I think that number 10 is important because everyone isnt perfect and they make mistakes too.
